Illinois Supermarket with an annual electricity usage of 400,000 kWh was looking for a supplier with a true “one-to-one” utility price comparison.
During the first client meeting, Agera was able to review the customer’s utility bill with their current electric supplier. After evaluating their existing energy plan, the client informed Agera that their agreement expired in December and that they would need to wait until the end of October before they would be making any final decisions.
With weeks of opening correspondence and building a relationship with the client, we found ourselves in the middle of October. Knowing this was the window of time requested for following up with this client, we went in and gave him our best plan options while also educating him on some of the tactics our competitors were using at the time. This help to ensure him that the pricing we presented was a “one-to-one” cost comparison.
The client reached out to us shortly afterward to thank us for educating him on the process and what to look for. The client’s initial thought process was to select the business providing them the lowest quote, but when he realized that this quote was not a true “apples-to-apples” cost comparison, he then knew that competitor would be charging significantly more with pass through charges.
With Agera’s thorough process, we were able to work alongside the client with contract modification requests and have secured this businesses energy rates through the end of 2018 with a 24-Month contract for both electricity and natural gas.
Because of Agera’s dedication to a transparent process and focus on educating end user, we view energy education as crucial part of the energy purchasing process. The client was very pleased with the transparency with Agera’s pricing and their customers. Because of these facts, this client has also signed their home with Agera as well!
