Farm to Tray is an annual celebration of food at the soup kitchen, challenging New York City chefs and high-profile culinary names from across the city to produce a Sustainable Menu with local ingredients for each dish generously provided by Whole Foods Market. Since its inception in 2013, Farm to Tray has raised over $1,000,000 in cash and in-kind donations and introduced 75 new partnerships to Holy Apostles Soup Kitchen.
Each year the benefit attracts over 300 guests, including longtime soup kitchen supporter Susan Sarandon and Susan Ungaro, President of the James Beard Foundation. The idea for the fundraiser is firmly rooted in the approach to food that shapes the soup kitchen’s menu each week – the use of fresh locally grown produce, a commitment to nutritional
Like the soup kitchen guests who eat here every day, guests at Farm to Tray will dine in the beautiful sanctuary of the landmark Holy Apostles Church, a space that New York Times journalist and soup kitchen supporter Anna Quindlen dubbed ‘the most majestic dining room in New York City.’ And like the food served here every day, the Sustainable Menu will offer food that is locally grown, in season, and perhaps most importantly of all, delicious.

2016 Employee of the Year Award presented to Brian Swan.
CEO Jeremy Schupp and COO Steve Laker recently presented the 2016 Employee of the Year Award to Brian Swan. The Company recently announced Brian as the winner of this prestigious award. Brian is Agera Energy’s Team Lead, Software Engineer and Support. Congratulations once again Brian Swan.
The Westchester County Volunteer Firemen’s Association’s 111th Annual Convention is coming to Briarcliff Manor in 2017.
The Briarcliff Manor Fire Department will be hosting the 2017 Westchester County Volunteer Firemen’s Association Convention & Parade. This annual parade generates hundreds of spectators not only from Briarcliff Manor, but also families and friends from all surrounding communities as well as many visitors from northern and southern Westchester County.
The 2017 parade will include fire departments, representing more than 50 apparatus from each community in Westchester County with over 200 participants alone, let alone the estimated hundreds of spectators typically attending along the parade route.
Agera Energy is a proud supporter of the Briarcliff Manor Fire Department and look forward to his wonderful event.

Supporting the Nantucket Boys & Girls Club

The company recently offered support in the form of a donation to the Nantucket Boys & Girls Club. The Nantucket Boys & Girls Club give the youth in the area the opportunity to participate in a number of programs such as football, basketball, field hockey and lacrosse as well as poetry contests, art projects, cooking lessons and computer projects.
Agera Energy is happy to support the Nantucket Boys & Girls Club as they provide an opportunity for the children of Nantucket to develop into productive and caring citizens.

United States Marine Corps Reserve Commander’s Award presented to Agera Energy.
Agera Energy was the recent recipient of the Commander’s Award as a result of its participation in the 2016 “Toys for Tots” Westchester County Campaign. As a result of the generous efforts of Agera Energy and its employees our contribution helped the United States Marine Corps distribute over 52,000 gifts to nearly 16,000 disadvantaged children in our community.

Agera Energy participates in discussion for Advancing Sustainability in Real Estate.
Over forty local real estate leaders met Wednesday at the WGB Real Estate Industry Roundtable to discuss sustainable real estate as an investment, a tool for resiliency and the new standard for doing business.
WGB partners, The Business Council of Westchester and Westchester County, kicked-off the meeting crediting WGB for being a unique resource for businesses statewide that are seeking to not only drive operational efficiency but also establish stronger brands and position themselves as industry leaders.
At the table were a variety of real estate professionals, among them: owners, landlords, brokers, tenants, architects, engineers, contractors, planners, energy consultants and other real estate related organizations. Attendees shared recent news and latest trends, offered industry insights and discussed opportunities to further support sustainable real estate and green building practices.

Agera Energy supports local educational opportunities through Briarcliff Manor Education Foundation’s Spring Event.
The BMEF is a non-profit organization whose mission is to enhance the educational opportunities for every child in the Briarcliff Manor Public Schools by funding educational materials and teacher training that is not covered under the district’s budget. The BMEF has been in existence since 1995 and has raised close to $1,000,000 for programs that have enhanced the educational experience of Briarcliff’s students.
On April 28th, 2017, over 250 residents of the Briarcliff Manor School District (Briarcliff Manor, Ossining and Pocantico Hills) will attend the annual Spring Gala at The Briarcliff Manor (25 Studio Hill Road, Briarcliff Manor, NY 10510.) where they will be raising funding to support educational materials and teacher training at the Briarcliff Manor Public Schools.
Briarcliff’s public schools are a great source of pride for the community and are a significant reason our area is a highly coveted place to raise a family. The School was recently named a 2016 National Blue Ribbon School by the Department of Education and the High School was ranked number 33 on Newsweek’s America’s Top High School’s 2016.

Agera Energy is proud to support this year’s Tour de Force bicycle ride in honor of those lost on 9/11/01.
In 2017 the Tour de Force will begin in Boston, Massachusetts and will cycle through the beautiful countryside of New England. After a scenic ferry across to New York, we will cycle through Long Island’s wine trail and into NYC. All of this in four incredible days, spent honoring the ultimate sacrifices of police officers and preserving the memory of those lost on 9/11.The Tour de Force’s dual mission is to honor the victims of 9/11 by keeping their memory alive through cycling events and to raise funds, to benefit the families of police officers, who were killed in the line of duty, each year, nationwide, making the ultimate sacrifice.
