As our company continues to grow, it’s our corporate commitment to make positive differences and give back to our communities to ensure they grow and flourish too.
Agera Energy has great success at 2017 Golden Scoop Challenge.
Agera Energy competed in the Food Bank for Westchester’s “2017 Golden Scoop Challenge” against 13 other teams from corporations headquartered in Westchester County, New York on Friday, May 19th. The late afternoon event brought together various departments within Agera to come together as a team and strive to win the coveted ‘Golden Scoop’ and pack the most amount of food for our neighbors. The volunteers and teammates collaborated, planned and executed – filling bags and boxes of loose pasta to the tune of 1,206 lbs. in a one-hour period! While the Agera total of 1,206 lbs. of packed pasta was not quite enough to bring home the ‘Golden Scoop,’ we are proud to know that our combined effort will go toward feeding so many families in need – we look forward to participating in future Food Bank for Westchester events in the coming months and doing our part to support the communities where we live and work.
Agera Energy supports local American Cancer Society Relay for Life event.
Relay For Life is the signature fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. Relay is staffed and coordinated by volunteers in more than 5,200 communities and 27 countries. Volunteers give of their time and effort because they believe it’s time to take action against cancer.
Join us at these events to bring communities together to remember loved ones lost, honor survivors of all cancers, and raise money to help the American Cancer Society make a global impact on cancer.
Relay is a team fundraising event where team members take turns walking around a track or designated path. Each event is 6-24 hours in length and each team is asked to have a member on the track at all times to signify that cancer never sleeps. Cancer patients don’t stop because they’re tired, and for one night, neither do we.
Each team sets up a themed campsite at the event and continues their fundraising efforts by collecting donations for food, goods, games, and activities. This money will count towards their overall team fundraising goal.

Join Agera Energy at this year’s Farm to Tray event at Holy Apostles Soup Kitchen.
May 18, 2017 will be the 5th annual sustainable food benefit.
Tickets are available at https://tickets.holyapostlessoupkitchen.org/
Farm to Tray is an annual celebration of food at the soup kitchen, challenging New York City chefs and high-profile culinary names from across the city to produce a Sustainable Menu with local ingredients for each dish generously provided by Whole Foods Market. Since its inception in 2013, Farm to Tray has raised over $1,000,000 in cash and in-kind donations and introduced 75 new partnerships to Holy Apostles Soup Kitchen.
Each year the benefit attracts over 300 guests, including longtime soup kitchen supporter Susan Sarandon and Susan Ungaro, President of the James Beard Foundation. The idea for the fundraiser is firmly rooted in the approach to food that shapes the soup kitchen’s menu each week – the use of fresh locally grown produce, a commitment to nutritional balance, and the importance of providing a variety of taste and texture.
Like the soup kitchen guests who eat here every day, guests at Farm to Tray will dine in the beautiful sanctuary of the landmark Holy Apostles Church, a space that New York Times journalist and soup kitchen supporter Anna Quindlen dubbed ‘the most majestic dining room in New York City.’ And like the food served here every day, the Sustainable Menu will offer food that is locally grown, in-season, and perhaps most importantly of all, delicious.
We look forward to seeing you there!
