Every purchase of a red nose from your local pharmacy helped raise money for charity to fight child poverty. All proceeds were given to the Comic Relief nonprofit organization, located in New York, NY.
Agera Energy sponsored Bob Cronin, the top fundraiser for this year’s Tour de Force bike ride commemorating the tragedy of September 11, 2001. Bob, a 67 year old NY State Trooper veteran, rode for his 10th consecutive year raising money to help the families of first responders who are killed in the line of duty each year nationwide, making the ultimate sacrifice. Agera Energy was proud to be the MVP Sponsor for the Suicide Prevention, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Awareness event hosted by the Gardner, MA Chamber of Commerce last week. Addiction and Mental Health Awareness are causes near and dear to many employees and stakeholders of Agera Energy, and this year, the event was fortunate to have former Boston Celtic Brian Scalabrine speaking at the event. Congratulations to all the riders of this year’s Florida Tour De Force event. The Florida Tour De Force event is a 270 mile charity bicycle ride from North Miami Beach, FL to Orlando, FL. The ride is done to honor and raise money for Florida’s Law Enforcement Fallen Heroes. The ride is organized and manned by devoted volunteers of the Law Enforcement community and all monies raised are donated to the families of our Fallen Heroes. Agera Energy is a proud supporter of the New York Tour De Force and some of NY guys were down in Florida this past April for the ride. Great job by all!
Agera Energy is proud to announce that it has once again supported the Briarcliff Manor Education Foundation’s Spring Event being on April 27th, 2018. The foundation supports educational opportunities in the Briarcliff Manor Public Schools by benefiting students through financial support of programs, activities, and resources. Since its creation in 1995, the BMEF has raised $1,000,000 for programs which increased the educational experience for students, as well as teachers.
The Spring Gala at The Briarcliff Manor will include over 250 residents of the Briarcliff Manor School District, where the attendees will be raising funding to support educational resources, such as materials and training for the public schools. The event will also include food, music, dancing, gaming, raffles, and auction items.
The Briarcliff Manor School District is home to some of the nation’s top teachers and students, according to US News’ Best High Schools. They rank #28 in New York State and #188 in the Country, with a graduation rate of 99%. The BMEF’s commitment to enhancing student and teacher programs, activities, and resources has proven positive over the years.
